The awards are part of Small Business Week Calgary, which is hosted by the Calgary Chamber. The Innovation Award is presented to a Calgary small business that is pushing conventional boundaries and disrupting or reshaping its industry through groundbreaking achievements in bringing innovation to market.
“We’ve helped companies in Alberta become both sustainable and profitable with our innovative clean-tech solutions,” says Ed Alfke, CEO of TriCore and CCSI. “We’re proud to be recognized as a finalist for this years’ Innovation Award and proud of the work we’ve done to deliver equipment and finance it through the carbon market for our clients.”
Having won the Emerging Clean Technologies award at the 2019 Global Petroleum Show, the impact of TriCore’s technology has been noticed in Alberta. TriCore provides planet positive equipment, financing and software solutions to oil and gas companies reducing their methane emissions. Alberta has over 500,000 pneumatic chemical injection pumps and controllers that vent methane gas, and this equipment needs to be replaced by 2023 to comply with new environmental laws.
TriCore provides a unique preassembled skid with solar powered pumps, controllers and world leading Measuring, Reporting, Verifying (MRV) emission reduction software. The bundled solution allows producers to become compliant with no capital outlay or loss in production before the regulations come into effect in 2023.
The award winners will be announced at the Small Business Calgary Awards Gala on October 25, 2019. Activities for Small Business Week run October 21-25 and pay tribute to the contributions that small businesses make to the Canadian economy.
